It’s only 8 weeks until the Round the Island Race 2022, have you got your entry in yet?
The race is pretty simple – start at Cowes on the Isle of Wight and head West and just follow the coastline until you arrive back in Cowes – easy! Obviously a bit of navigation is needed to avoid the main hazards such as The Needles, St Catherine’s, Bembridge Ledge and Ryde Sands but it’s a great day whether you are an experienced racer or just enjoy sailing.
There’s normally over 1000 boats that head to the start, the fastest boats only take a few hours whereas the smaller cruisers can take up to 12 hours. If you’d like to enter click HERE

The first boat show of the year is starting today and you may find the location surprising as it’s in the middle of the UK at the NEC in Birmingham. Sailing legend Pip Hare will open the show on 17th February and it runs until 20th February 2022.
